When you planned for a trip to ooty just remember that you have to reach METTUPALAYAM, which is 20 t0 30 km from Coimbatore. One can go to ooty easily through toy train or bus. If you want to go by toy train you have to do reservation and one only compartment is there for unreservation, but for that you have to stand in queue, first come first preference for that compartment. You can also go by bus. Ooty is around 40km from mettupalayam and it takes 2 hours journey through road ways and 3-4 hours journey railways to reach ooty.
You can take room in hotel or lodge, so that you can relax and enjoy the climate in the night time and there are lots of place that must be watched in ooty.
